    Out to Kaldi

    We drive thirty minutes up the fjord to Árskógssandur, where the country's first microbrewery has been quietly running since 2006.

  2. wellness

    Bjórböðin

    We soak in tubs of warm beer, hops and yeast for half an hour, with cold Kaldi on tap right at the edge of the bath.

  3. food

    Dinner upstairs

    We stay for dinner at the spa restaurant looking out over Eyjafjörður, slow-cooked lamb and whatever the kitchen sends out.
